Cellulite is a term that describes the appearance of bumpy looking fat on the body. It is a condition of bulging fat cells and other coexisting factors that result in the appearance of cellulite. Endermologie is the brand for a non-invasive device approved by the FDA that has been used as a method of cellulite treatment in the United States since 1996.
Procedure Description
Endermologie uses mechanical roller and regulated suction to create symmetrical skin folds, temporarily stimulating circulation to the area. After the desired effect is achieved, the patient will need to maintain the effects of the cellulite treatment with additional Endermologie sessions at less frequent intervals.
Length of the Procedure
Each Endermologie treatment lasts 30 to 45 minutes
Anesthesia
Endermologie requires no anesthesia.
Inpatient or Outpatient?
Endermologie is performed in the doctor's office or clinic on an outpatient basis.
Possible Side Effects
Minor temporary bruising may occur after Endermologie treatment.
Recovery
Minor, temporary bruising might occur, similar to what you would receive from a deep tissue massage.
Duration of Results
Patients typically need a dozen or more treatments for visible results. Because this cellulite treatment addresses only the appearance of cellulite, and not the root causes, bumps and dimples may reappear in the months after Endermologie treatments cease unless maintenance sessions are performed.

Expect to pay $90 to $120 per Endermologie session.
